This Privacy Policy explains how Nebular Streams (Nebular, we, us or our) handles personal information when you use Nebular Studio at studio.nebular.tv and its related services (collectively, the Service).

Our role

Nebular acts as a data controller for account, service-administration, security and support information that we determine how and why to process.

When an organization uses the Service to process personal data contained in its streams, recordings, templates or other customer content, that organization normally acts as controller and Nebular acts as its processor. That processing is governed by the organization’s instructions and any applicable data-processing agreement.

Information we process

Depending on how the Service is used, we may process:

account and profile information, such as name, email address, organization and service permissions;
authentication and security information, including authentication tokens, IP addresses, request records and security events;
service configuration and operational data, such as stream identifiers, processing modules, overlay profiles, templates and usage logs;
content supplied to the Service, which may include live video, audio, graphics, recordings and associated metadata; and
communications sent to support or otherwise provided directly to Nebular.

We ask customers not to provide personal information that is unnecessary for use of the Service.

How and why we use information

We process information to:

create and administer accounts and organizations;
authenticate users and provide requested Service functions;
process, transmit, store or display customer content as configured by the customer;
operate, secure, monitor, troubleshoot and improve the Service;
provide support and communicate important account or service information; and
comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, users and infrastructure.

Where Nebular acts as controller, these activities are based, as applicable, on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, or consent when specifically requested. We do not rely on consent where processing is necessary to provide the Service.

Customer content

Customers retain ownership and control of the content they provide. Nebular uses customer content only to provide, secure and support the Service, according to customer configuration and instructions. We do not sell customer content or use it for unrelated advertising.

Live media may be processed transiently. Recordings, templates, graphics or other media are stored only when the selected Service function requires storage or the customer chooses to store them.

We do not sell or trade personal information. We may share information only with:

personnel and contractors who need it to operate or support the Service;
infrastructure, hosting, content-delivery, authentication and support providers acting under appropriate obligations;
administrators of the organization that controls your Studio account; and
authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, security or the Service.

Where a provider processes personal data for Nebular, it must do so under contractual and confidentiality obligations appropriate to its role.

International transfers

We seek to keep primary account and service data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Some infrastructure, content-delivery or support operations may involve processing outside the EEA. Where required, we use a valid transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards under applicable data-protection law.

Retention

We retain account and operational information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes and satisfy legal obligations. Customer content is retained according to the selected Service configuration and applicable customer agreement. Security and diagnostic records are retained for a limited period appropriate to their purpose.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, subject to backup cycles and legal retention requirements.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your credentials and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

access and receive a copy of your personal information;
correct inaccurate information;
request deletion or restriction of processing;
receive portable information in applicable cases;
object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To exercise these rights, contact support@nebular.tv. We may need to verify your identity. If your information is controlled by the organization through which you use Studio, we may direct your request to that organization or assist it in responding.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence or work.

Automated decisions

Nebular Studio does not use account information to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will use reasonable means to notify users of material changes.
